The creature had orange fur, prickled at the orangutan-long forearms and minotauresque calves. Five orange eyestalks wormed their way towards the lot of us as the eyes below where the mouth and nose should be gave a cold stare at Cornelius. I began to retreat from the alien. {Do not be afraid.}

I heard it, but I didn't hear it. "Is it just me or did he just talk without a mouth?"

"That's the beauty of the Zulodeon race, able to read minds and communicate telepathically." Cornelius seemed to act as if he was making a pitch to investors. "And you can too, once you begin utilizing their advanced technology."

Telepathy was an interesting ability once you get down to bare basics, but something seemed off about Cornelius' tone. Like he was hiding something from us. "Hey, Mr. Robinson."

"Yes, Riley. What is it?" Cornelius was walking closer, and all I could say amounted to ums and uhhs directing my finger towards seemingly nothing. But Cornelius seemed to have found something in that directionless area "Oh, this old thing? It's the carcass of a specific breed of advert."

"Wait, Advertising?" I tilted my head in dumbfoundment, only for Eraqus to add to the conversation.

"Not the Ads that normies like you typically see." Eraqus decided to hand me a sort of gemstone, I took it into my hand and what I saw then ain't as pretty as you think. "These Ads are parasites. From print and page, to film and screen, to the internet age, they've always adapted, they've always evolved, all to absorb every heart, mind, body and soul, all to dominate and decimate the great cosmos, all to price existence out of existence, all under the boot of their Master Players."

{You say you know of the Agency?} the Zulodeon was staring at us, surprised that a normal human knew of the overarching threat over the past thirteen games in this franchise.

"Are you kidding?" Eraqus was rubbing the bottom of his nose as he gloated. "We've flushed an entire subdivision of them and never looked back."

{I see... So you're the one they call 'Eraqus'} the Zulodeon's eyes gave out a relieved glare as a sign of his honor towards the boy. {You and Xehanort have become quite the targets after the Rozen Writers Guild was felled by your hands. You've even gained the attention of the Master Players themselves, including the highest chair among them all.}

"Yeesh, that bad, huh." Eraqus was scratching his head, "Nobunaga must have been pretty high up for it to scare all eight of those flobs."

"Ah, god. There's the Slang! The good ol' Tori-" My fangirling over the Toriyama Era got Yen-Sid's attention as well as the eye of Cornelius. "Toriel's kid still has that Ambassador of Monsterkind thing going on, right?"

"Well, uh..." Cornelius thought hard about what to say to my save. "Let's not spoil the surprise, alright?"

I breathed a sigh of relief before looking to Eraqus and asking for clarity's sake. "Say, you've never brought up those Master Players til now. Care to clue me in?"

"The Agency has well, Agents that can conjure up Ads of many races, shapes and sizes in addition to the skills they've aquired over their lives before and during their employment." Eraqus was gesturing to accentuate his point. "So it'd make sense to have tthe strongest, most cunning ones in their roster running the show with every card in the deck. That's where the Master Players come in."

"Though their numbers often shift through retirement, disputes, failed coup de'teaux and more often than not, one's bittersweet end." Yen-Sid was holding his hand to the computer panel with a woeful frown on his face. "The Supreme Commander stays the same."

{He undertakes many challenges with a different puppet each time, A new face, a new identity for every goal he seeks out and completes,} The creature held its hand to its face as it contemplated this commander's nature. {on plenty of occasions he ends up popping on an old mask again, some moreso than others. All to enhance his power and extend his reach.}

"HP. ATK. DEF. GOLD. EXP. LV. All just numbers to max out on each of his many facades." Xehanort clutched his heart with regret. "He is the demon that comes when you call its name, hence the reason we call him:"

"Player One" That name sent shivers down my spine. I tried to back away, But Eraqus took my hand and smiled.

"We already know about the games, It's alright." his reassuring smile made me feel a sense of understanding. "It's a big omniverse out there as you've seen with our little night out."

So yeah, my dream to be an astronaut just got a whole lot better. I smiled, only to for a table cloth to start clinging to my arm, revealing these three glowing orbs.
From the Desk of Riley Andersen
Zelodeon - From what Eraqus has told me of thes guys at Fourty Feasts after the Todayland Incident, they observe the evolution of lesser species, to say they had their eyes on us for a pretty long time, or at least, an alternate reality version of us with better scientific advances. There's a good chunk of them watching other realities catch up to that version, my string included, not just because of curiousity, but because one of their most devastating mistakes has infested our world: The Ads.

With thanks to South Park for influencing the existence of the bad guys.
